This year’s wedding showcase, La Dolce Vita (“the sweet life”), was all that and more. Hosted at the charming Flint Hill, our team transformed the venue into a dreamy Italian-inspired celebration where every detail whispered romance.
Guests delighted in rustic Italian breads, pastas, and fresh whole fruits and vegetables that weren’t just served—they were woven into the floral décor and station accents, creating an edible work of art.
Romance in Every Corner
From the moment guests stepped into the courtyard, they were greeted by breathtaking ceremony décor—floral baskets brimming with blooms, graceful shade umbrellas, and a soft, sunlit glow that felt straight out of Tuscany. The long estate tables stretched across the courtyard, each dressed in pale green linens that evoked the serene hues of the Italian countryside. Custom woven chargers anchored each place setting, while terracotta pots overflowing with romantic florals brought warmth and texture to the scene. Freshly baked breads, glistening grapes, lemons, and other market-fresh fruits were artfully placed among the arrangements, creating the feeling of an abundant Italian harvest. It wasn’t just a dinner table—it was a tableau of la dolce vita itself, inviting guests to sit, savor, and celebrate in true Italian style.
One of the evening’s most talked-about design moments came courtesy of this ingenious seating chart: antique books and ornate frames displayed on gold shelves, creating a one-of-a-kind focal point that guests couldn’t stop admiring.
A Bountiful Feast
Of course, La Dolce Vita wasn’t just about the visuals—it was a feast in every sense of the word. Our Culinary Team crafted a menu that married the rustic elegance of classic Italian cuisine with inventive, mouthwatering twists. The Chocolate Charcuterie—a lavish spread of artisanal chocolates, sweet bits, nuts and fruits—was as much a visual centerpiece as it was a decadent treat. The Hand-Held Pies, golden and perfectly flaky, offered guests a charming, personal-sized indulgence that disappeared almost as quickly as they were served. The Southern BLT Sliders proved irresistible, with guests eagerly tracking down servers for “just one more,” while the Charcuterie Enhancement elevated the grazing experience to an art form—rich cheeses, cured meats, and fresh accompaniments arranged with care and abundance.
The main courses were equally show-stopping. Tender Picanha Steak paired with smoky Feijoada Collard Greens delivered bold, comforting flavors, while Hurricane Esquite brought a playful, street-food-inspired burst of sweetness and spice. The Orange Ginger Spiced Carrots offered a fragrant, citrus-kissed brightness to the plate, perfectly balanced by the creamy indulgence of our always-adored Risotto. And then there was the Manchego Mac and Cheese—so luxuriously cheesy and flavorful that more than one guest was overheard rethinking their own wedding menu on the spot.

Every sip matched the elegance of the evening, from champagne welcome to a custom mocktail and cocktail that embodied the night’s theme. The Amalfi Dream zero-proof mocktail and the Sicilian Sunset signature drink captured the spirit of La Dolce Vita in a glass—bright, refreshing, and utterly irresistible.
The Amalfi Dream was a refreshing nod to Italy’s famous lemon liqueur—only this version was completely non-alcoholic. Crafted as a lemoncello-inspired mocktail, it balanced bright, sun-kissed citrus with a touch of sweetness, offering guests a sophisticated sip without the spirits. Every glass sparkled with that breezy Amalfi Coast feeling—light, zesty, and endlessly refreshing.
For those seeking something a bit bolder, the Sicilian Sunset was an instant showstopper. This artful blend of vodka, blood orange Italian soda, fresh blood orange juice, grapefruit, and just a hint of balsamic vinegar created layers of flavor that were as vibrant as the drink’s glowing hue. Complex yet beautifully balanced, it was a cocktail that looked like a sunset and tasted like pure Italian romance.
